Ombo Rest Camp is situated approximately 12 kms North of Okahandja on the Hochfeld Road. This unique environment is home to a variety of animal and bird species, and they can all be viewed at our waterhole accompanied by a beautiful sunset.

Ombo Rest Camp provides the ideal midway stopover, whilst allowing our guests to experience a relaxing and peaceful stay, and for families, a child-friendly environment.

Our family restaurant serves an A-La-Carte menu, meat dishes, vegetarian dishes, various salads, seafood and for the Namibian taste, ostrich meat and eggs. We also offer crocodile meat, Omajovas and freshly baked cake every day.

Our family friendly environment offers different type of overnight accommodation:

Family Bungalow’s with fully equipped kitchen and barbecue area in-front of the Bungalow. Double bed bungalows with breakfast or on DBB Two single bed bungalows with own kitchen and barbecue area in-front of the Bungalow. All Bungalows have air conditioning, and safe parking is offered at the Bungalow.

Campsite providing five ablution blocks with private barbecue areas, hot showers, power-point, washbasin, lawn and shade.

Three Backpacker rooms (at the campsite), with two single beds, and guests can use all facilities offered at the campsite.

Even for a short stopover/visit you can enjoy our guided Ostrich and Crocodile tour, and view different type of our Namibian tortoise.

Afterwards you can relax at our restaurant and enjoy one of our freshly prepared meals from our menu.

Day-visitors are welcome at our campsite, bringing family and friends for the day. Offering private barbeque-area, campsite and enjoy the pool. During the day visit, you will be able to view the wild animals close to the waterhole/feeding area. Bookings are essential!
